Brown-Forman Account Manager - Lagardere and Aer Rianta in Paris, France

Role Scope:

The development of B-F’s core spirits business through effective key account management of Lagardére, one of travel retail’s fastest growing global key accounts, and Aer Rianta. These accounts have concessions at several high profile airports, including Paris, Warsaw, Rome, Hong Kong, Auckland and Dublin. Key tasks will include managing customer negotiations, securing profitable listings, building broad and deep customer relationships, maintaining merchandising guidelines and coordinating promotional activities.

The role will assume full global P&L responsibility for Lagardére, ensuring alignment of activities and support across the regions. From an ARI perspective, the role will assume full P&L responsibility in Europe TR (Ireland and Cyprus) and the Pacific region (New Zealand), plus important strategic alignment with the ARI business currently embedded in the IMENA region.

Key Responsibilities:

● Create, execute and deliver agreed P&L objectives

● Identify profitable growth opportunities for the Brown-Forman spirits portfolio

● Work with GTR and brand teams to execute agreed brand plans and budgets to achieve regional goals in the assigned territory

● Build dynamic and meaningful relationships with key Lagardére and ARI management in order to interpret customer strategy, gain alignment, and achieve best in class partnership

● Manage annual pricing and listing negotiations with all customers, and negotiate global annual agreements with both Lagardere & ARI

● Together with the Global & Area Marketing Managers, develop appropriate brand building activities and negotiate subsequent programs with key accounts

● Identify and exploit brand building opportunities through merchandising and promotional activities, additional store activities, training, incentivizing, rewarding and influencing

● Supervise execution of these programs, evaluate and modify as appropriate

● Actively take the lead in annual and long term planning

● Set up brand and portfolio strategies

● Continue increasingly global approach to key account management with Lagardére, through close collaboration with the Area Manager, APAC

● Look to establish a global way of working with ARI

● Collaborate and align with domestic B-F personnel to maximize cooperation between B-F GTR and Local Economy, particularly in terms of ARI across the IMENA region

Ideal requirements:

● University degree and a minimum of 5 years sales & or marketing experience preferably in spirits, but related sectors such as tobacco or confectionery can be considered; or 7+ years of relevant experience

● Fluent spoken and written English & French

● Strong oral and written communication skills

● Strength in building effective relationships, both internally and externally

● Good negotiation skills

● Must possess a passion for our portfolio and a brand building mentality

● A team player supportive to all functions

● Must be willing to travel extensively (approximately 40% of the time)

Preferred requirements:

● MBA, Master Degree

● Exposure to people management

● Other relevant languages
