Meaningful Work From Day One

Serves as an influential and strategic HR business partner to the France/BeLux organization and manages the day to day HR processes across assigned functions. Facilitates the execution of business strategies through people and organizational development. Ensures the business goals, objectives and initiatives are supported through the execution of HR strategies, policies and procedures.

What You Can Expect

  • Serves as the regional HR leader and strategic business partner for the Managing Director and France/BeLux Leadership team by cultivating and leveraging strong partnerships across the region, evidenced by HR having a “seat at the table”

  • Provides data, insights, ideas, coaching and tools to enable leaders to motivate performance and maximize the talents, contributions and the results of their teams

  • Serves as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on a wide range of HR-related topics that include performance management, talent attraction and retention, learning and development, diversity and inclusion, organizational design (to include SG&A cost management), employee engagement, total rewards and succession planning

  • Builds and maintains strong partnerships across the full People, Places and Communications community in order to support the achievement of the Brown-Forman People & Culture vision and strategic priorities. Leads change and facilitates initiatives that impact people and culture:

  • Leads the annual Talent and Succession process for France/BeLux

  • Partners with division Workforce Planning & Recruiting team to effectively forecast, prepare for and meet the talent needs of the business

  • Sets the strategy for regional learning and development needs and partners with division L&D team to execute against strategic priorities, including individual, team and organizaitonal development

  • Drives high levels of employee engagement and supports France/BeLux in continuing to be a Great Place to Work

  • Drives awareness and initiatives that support the Many Spirits, One Brown-Forman global diversity & inclusion strategy

  • Leads employee relations investigations when appropriate, coordinating efforts with Legal, Compliance and Audit when necessary; provides recommendations for remediation if required

  • Manages, coaches and develops the local HR Business Partnership team

What You Bring to the Table

  • 7+ years of in-depth HR management experience with demonstrated knowledge of the HR function and processes with a strong understanding of legal ramifications of non-compliance

  • Consistent evidence of ability to exercise good judgement, discretion and maturity in responding to requests for data, resolving problems and to effectively handle confidential information and materials

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Corporate and Region management, as well as employees across functions

  • Proven ability to influence via great facilitation and coaching

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

  • Experience working across a global matrixed organization, with strong French or other similar European labor markets

  • Business fluent French and English
