Brown-Forman Supply Chain Operations Manager in Prague 1, Czech Republic
Scope: This position will be responsible for all Supply Chain Operations of Brown-Forman Czechia. The holder of this position is responsible for supporting the Sales Organization in its efforts to analyze and forecast short and midterm demand and for consolidating customer based plans to country level. Thoughtful and pro-active participation in the company’s global Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Process with the US based Supply Planning team as well as the overall local Inventory Administration is in scope. The holder will manage the in country logistics operation by being the primary contact person to and steering the contracted logistics service provider. By overlooking the purchasing, logistics and customer service functions for B-F Czechia, the role is integral and critical for effective, reliable and efficient administration of “procure to pay” and “order to cash” process flows. The local Customer Service Coordinator, the Logistics Coordinator and the Procurement Specialist report into this position.
Safeguard in market product availability at efficient inventory levels through effective and reliable planning processes, alignment and tools
Ensure efficient, transparent, reliable and compliant Tax Stamp Administration and Handling.
Manage, control and optimize logistics operations and costs. Managing the third party logistics providers for Customs Clearance, Transportation, Storage and Warehouse Handling (incl. CoPacking and Tax Stamp Application Activities) of alcoholic beverage products as well as Point of Sales Materials.
Provide reliable and lean standard customer service communication and processes along the order to cash cycle.
Provide Supply Chain performance reporting/transparency to the local management team as well as to regional SC management.
Lead, manage and develop the local Supply Chain Team
Continuous improvement of in market Supply Chain processes, systems and tools.
Tasks | Function:
Lead strong support for internal customers (B-F Czech Republic Team members: Sales, Marketing, Finance and Customer Service). Ensure right stock level of products for domestic and export sales.
Manage supply planning, stock replenishment, import, export, customs clearance, warehousing, co-packing, strip stamping and labeling in B-F Czechia warehouse.
Manage Inventory reconciliation process.
Be the first contact for all logistics aspects.
Manage relations with third party logistics provider in the area of warehousing/customs clearance/co-packing, strip stamping and labeling.
Ensure effective and efficient functioning of logistics processes and procedures. Monitor and advice any changes to logistics procedures.
Cooperating with the Logistics provider in the area of import and customs procedures.
Manage, control and optimize costs in the area of customs clearance, co-packing, strip stamping and labeling.
Organize and manage physical stock count in warehouse, prepare documents, cooperate with external auditors.
Preparing and controlling the Logistics budget, under the supervision of Finance Manager Czech Republic and Central Danube.
Managing with other departments such as accounting the various tax filings with authorities like: Ministry of Finance, Customs Office, etc.
Supervising deliveries and stock movements concerning customs and excise clearance according to the company policy and import/customs procedures.
Supervising and coordinating the appropriate and transparent flow and administration of excise tax stamps
Monitoring and advising any changes to import/excise tax procedures and rates.
Ensure law compliance in logistics area.
Supply Chain KPI development & management
Data management (prices, product documentation e.g. certificates, strip stamps data, documents for purchases and customs clearance).
Optimize processes, test and implement new solutions.
Collaborating with the Area and Regional Supply Chain Management to analyze, develop, enhance implement and operate logistics operations, structures and standard operating procedures for Czechia, compliant with corporate standards.
Lead and manage team.
Self and subordinate(s) career growth and team development.
Build productive working relationships with direct reports, peers, leadership, and other departments.
Required Experience & Education:
Education: University degree
5+ years of Supply Chain/Logistics experience in FMCG
Knowledge of customs, import and export procedures based on long-term experience
Slavic languages (such as Czech, Polish, Slovak), English business fluent
Strong organization skills

Strong analytical and planning skills
IT literate (good knowledge in MS Excel)
Ability to perform and adapt in a changing environment
Knowledge of legal regulations in the field of the import and trade in excise goods
Functional experience with Financial/ERP System (SAP/R3 or similar)
