Job Description:


Support the Finance Manager – Czech Republic in providing financial management support and analytical insights to the business management team of Czech Republic. Support achievement of profit growth targets by providing analytical support and business reporting in the areas of volume, pricing, profitability, cost management, investment effectiveness, etc..

Responsible for reporting, budgeting and planning functions and performing financial analysis for the Czech Republic as well as continuous internal processes improvement. Acting as financial interface for managers, accounting, supply chain, consultants (audits). Leading of SB&P process: responsible for implementation of the process and further execution, tracking. Has 1 direct report

Basic Functions:

Financial Management & Controllership, 40%

  • Provides monthly management reporting and review for local teams, covering full P&L (volume, price, COGS, mix, brand expense, SG&A). Ensures proper level of visibility, to both plans and actuals, depending on market requirements (by brand/channel/customer/SKU, by cost center owner, etc.).

  • Track, analyze and report on discounting, brand expense and SG&A spending to ensure that internal and external stakeholders are informed and remain within budgets/projections.

  • Responsible for ongoing variance analysis, risks vs. upsides assessment

• Support in maintaining list prices and discounts for our trade partners

  • Meet regularly with the team to review performance vs. budgets/projections and to understand outstanding spend commitments.

• Collecting/processing data and reports regarding the work of field people (incl. data preparation for

field people bonus calculation)

  • General co-operation with other departments of the company (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Accounting) in order to improve transparency of cross-functional processes)

  • Work with accounting team to ensure our financial results are accurately reported (proper expense classification within the P&L line items, properly supported accruals, monitoring of receivables, etc.)

Financial Planning & Analysis, 30%

  • Together with the finance manager and the commercial leadership team, build and load annual budget and subsequent projections into B-F planning systems. This includes thoroughly understanding B-F planning processes and systems and ensuring data is submitted timely and accurately.

  • Responsible for identifying and explaining key drivers for variances vs. last year and vs. budget/projections, including monthly assessment of risks and upsides vs. the latest projection.

  • Owns, maintains and analyzes price structures for each brand/key customer (with a value chain optimization focus), monitor margins, performance and participates in regular performance review meetings

  • Provides analysis for pricing and promotional plans, and advises on ways of capturing value and efficiency, and helps with prioritization of opportunities (eg. based on ROI)

  • Cooperate with Sales or other department to improve discounts (% and structure) for our trade partners

  • Support the development of long-term strategic plans and multi-year investment case proposals.

  • Independently work with Accounting, Marketing and Sales teams as needed to resolve issues.

  • Support the preparation of presentations, analyses and documents, including White Papers, relating to the budgets, projections and long term plans.

Commercial Support and Analytical Insights, 10%

  • Through hindsight analytics (with support of BBI) and forward looking scenario analysis, support decision making in areas such as volume, pricing, margin control, investment efficiency and new SKU introductions.

  • Maintain and analyze price structures/value chain for each market, ensuring the structures properly reflect the current market conditions (transfer prices, margins, shelf pricing, taxes, etc.).

Management of direct report 10%

  • Supervision and manager of direct report (Junior Finance Analyst)

  • Performance management and development of the direct report

Ad hoc projects and support, 10%

  • Provide ad hoc support for Czech Republic team on special projects, such as RTC reviews, systems implementations, market deep dives and strategic plan developments, etc.

  • Continuous development of the internal processes, planning solutions, business intelligence

  • Drive development and implementation of any business related software solution

reMust Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 5 year experience in financial analysis/management role

  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently based on logical assumptions and factual information.

  • Advanced PC skills, including Excel and Power Point.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects to completion by agreed deadlines.

  • Familiar working with foreign currencies, exchange rates, and conversion factors.

  • Fluent business English and Czech, both speaking and writing.
