Meaningful Work From Day One

The Head of Jack Daniel´s Brazil is responsible for leading the #1 Brand in Premium Spirits in the country. This professional will develop and implement the strategic marketing plan of Jack Daniel´s Family of Brands, that includes Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey, Jack Daniel´s Flavors, Gentleman Jack, Jack Daniel's Ready to Drink and thoughtfully plan for future innovations.

This person will report to the Region Marketing Director, and is responsible of leading a talented and passionate team of 3 Brand Managers and 4 marketing analysts. It has also a strong collaborative work environment with the Integrated Marketing Communication team, Insights, Trade Marketing, Commercial and Financial leaders. The professional must ensure long term thinking through responsible decision making, consistent brand performance and activation program analysis, maximization of key agency partners and new portfolio development.

What You Can Expect:

Leadership:

  • Lead the development of annual brand plans for the Family of brands.

  • Lead the distribution and scalability of JD FoB A&P.

  • Develop and manage brand objectives, strategies and promotional programs for JD FoB.

  • Lead the briefing, development and approval process for any local creative or global creative adaptations, working with the agency partners and the planning & insights team

  • Support the IMC manager to develop Brand Communications Brief, Social media always content, monitoring social media pages and responding to consumers.

  • Work with the Insights team to measure and review all relevant research data that relate to brand building activities (both consumer and trade).

  • Take a lead role in understanding consumer trends across multiple channels and how this could be applied across the portfolio to drive growth.

  • Ensure Brand performance scorecard delivery to determine corrective actions where necessary in conjunction with Sales, Insights and other Marketing counterparts

Financial & Planning:

  • Ensure FoB P&L recommending initiatives to drive short-term growth and long-term value.

  • Champion BF Portfolio Allocation strategy of A&P (+USD 11M) avoiding over and/or underspends.

  • Lead the development of investment cases

  • Provide monthly report of brand expenses Monthly Business Reviews

Commercial & Trade:

  • Lead the integration of JD plans with trade marketing, respecting the processes and dates in place.

  • Lead the business analysis to support quarterly conversations with the commercial team.

  • Collaborates with Sales Managers, teams and distributors to ensure partnership and a common vision for brand development within local markets.

  • Coach brand managers for full marketing evaluations and make recommendations for any changes that might benefit the brand.

  • Monitor brand performance against sales forecasts. Determine corrective action where necessary in conjunction with sales counterparts.

  • Identify opportunities and possible sources of growth looking into multiple internal (example: SalesForce) and external sources of data (example: Nielsen and Product Audit), and competitors’ activities.

  • Regularly monitor the market place in order to build good knowledge of the on and off trade to identify and evaluate opportunities. Gather information on all aspects of the business in order to learn about the most effective and efficient ways of doing business and the best strategies to apply.

Organizational networking:

  • Be “the face of the brand” to all internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment

  • Facilitate, lead collaboration and take key stakeholders throughout the organization “on the journey” for key programs and strategic initiatives

  • Responsible for the development plan (PGP) and defining the work priorities for the team.

  • Strong diversity and inclusion mindset to lead the journey of team and brand.

What You Bring To The Table:

  • 10+ experience in Marketing and brand management

  • Excellent leadership skills and people management experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related area or equivalent experience

  • Demonstrable marketing experience in FMCG industry, preferably spirits

  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills, persuasive, and able to build strong working relationships (local and international)

  • Strong oral and written communications skills (must be advanced in English) and fluent Portuguese

  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills. Able to transfer learning’s into new ideas and strategies
