Brown-Forman Commercial Finance Manager - Korea in Seoul, South Korea
● Supports the Finance Director, Korea Taiwan Thailand in leading and administering all the financial activities for Korea. ● Provides analytical support on key commercial business issues to the National Sales Manager and Commercial team. This includes commercial strategy, revenue growth management, business planning, forecasting, financial controls, business processes, and management reporting. ● Responsible for Korea’s financial planning, financial/commercial analysis and insights to support profitable business growth and strategic resource allocation.
Meaningful work from day one
1. Financial Analysis & Operational Effectiveness
Monthly analysis of business results with clear, compelling communication of key drivers of performance trends through monthly business reviews, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
Improve processes for concise, accurate, periodic financial analysis and reporting on a timely basis.
Assists the Finance Director as needed to provide accurate and timely execution of accounting, credit, supply chain, tax, and treasury operations.
2. Financial Planning and Forecasting
Support annual and quarterly planning processes for Korea, providing analysis and collaborative support with sales and marketing in building and presentation of plans.
Provide accurate financial forecasts on the current state of the business measured against the ongoing business updates on a timely basis along with the appropriate qualitative / quantitative analysis and recommendations.
Provide analytical support, reporting and control in managing brand marketing spend and SG&A budgets.
3. Value Chain Management
Initiates revenue growth management initiatives and capabilities in Korea.
Assess the value chain of Korea in order to identify opportunities that optimize B-F’s value creation and oversee the work of Financial analysts in managing pricing including building, gaming, interpreting and standardizing price structures. Prepare analysis and recommendations on pricing and discounts.
Direct the work of Commercial Finance Analyst in establishing appropriate transfer prices and in market pricing of our brands closely working with sales, supply chain, tax and legal.
Initiate, provide and lead cross functional analysis (consumer, trade, financial) into meaningful insights about performance, identification of opportunities and risks and assessment of mitigation and contingency plans.
4. Strategic Planning
Analyze and model the financial performance of the market to identify opportunities to support development of long-term strategic plans.
Collaborate with other functional areas (Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain) to identify areas of possible revenue growth, expansion, allocation of resources or cost reduction opportunities.
5. Internal Controls
Assist the Finance Director as needed and ensure all appropriate financial controls and legal/regulatory requirements are properly followed.
Assist the Finance Director as needed and partner with the Accounting, Credit and Transactions teams to develop policies and procedures for the establishment and maintenance of proper internal controls surrounding financial results including compliance with corporate policies.
6. People Development

What you will bring to the table
Bachelors’ degree in finance, accounting or business administration required. MBA/post graduate degree and/or recognized financial/accounting designations preferred.
5 to 10 years experience in similar Finance, Planning and Analysis, Revenue Growth Management, Value Chain expertise / Accounting positions.
Experience in alcoholic beverages or branded consumer products.
Experience establishing business and internal control processes.
Experience in growing businesses in emerging markets.
Strong oral and written communication skills in Korean and English.
Strong ability to analyze and interpret data and generate and communicate insights.
Proven leadership and decision making abilities.
Demonstrated ability to manage and complete multiple and diverse activities within established timeframes.
Strong interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity and trust.
Experience in international business (foreign currencies, etc).
Demonstrated high level of proficiency in Microsoft and/or Google suites
