Brown-Forman Asia is one of the operational units of the Brown-Forman Emerging International division. Asia presents one of the largest opportunities for Brown-Forman globally and is expected to continue to be one of the most significant growth contributors to the company. With Japan and China as key markets, B-F Asia is composed of 19 countries with 100+ employees distributed across offices in 10 key mega-cities. From a portfolio perspective, Asia is largely led by our flagship Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey brand, as well as presenting a large opportunity for our Super Premium portfolio of American Whiskeys and Single Malt Scotches.

Meaningful Work From Day One

Lead, direct, develop, and administer the financial activities of the Asia region: Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan, And SE Asia including the local/country finance teams. As a key member of the Finance Team for the Region provides analytical support, advice, counsel, and leadership on key business issues to the Managing Director and the leadership teams of the individual markets. This includes strategy, revenue management, business planning, forecasting, financial controls, business processes, information systems, supply chain, and distribution structures. Takes ownership of the financial strategies, reporting, and analysis for the region. Partners with the corporate function to oversee the whole range of accounting, tax, treasury, supply chain, and financial issues related to various distribution models within the Region.

We Are Looking For People Who

  • Master in Business Administration with a concentration in finance and 10 years relevant experience; or a Bachelor’s degree and 15 years relevant experience

  • Proven leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities

  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills with the ability to develop and integrate comprehensive marketing, sales, and production plans as well as to discuss financial strategies and translate them into actionable plans

  • Understanding of all financial activities and structures across the region

  • Strong consultative and diagnostic skills

  • Excellent quantitative/mathematical skills with a strong ability to interpret financial results and analysis

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and complete diverse activities within an established time frame

  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of internal and external contacts and with diverse cultures

  • High level of integrity and trust

  • Excellent manager and talent developer in a diverse culture - demonstrated commitment to providing regular, constructive feedback to teams; demonstrated coaching ability; ability to objectively assess both skills and potential of talents

What You Can Add to the Team

  • Prior Experience in the alcoholic beverage industry or a branded consumer products company/business

  • Reputable financial/accounting designations such as Chartered Accountant (CA) qualifications or equivalent recognition locally/internationally

  • Prior experience establishing internal control structures and processes

  • Prior experience in growing businesses in emerging markets

  • Education/experience in international business

  • Masters of Business Administration
