Brown-Forman Asia is one of the operational units of the Brown-Forman International division. Asia presents one of the largest opportunities for Brown-Forman globally and is expected to continue to be one of the most significant growth contributors to the company. With Japan and China as key markets, B-F Asia is composed of 19 countries with 100+ employees distributed across offices in 10 key mega-cities. From a portfolio perspective, Asia is largely led by our flagship Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, presenting a large opportunity for our Super Premium portfolio of American Whiskeys and Single Malt Scotches.

Meaningful Work from Day One

Reporting to the Marketing Director- Asia and under the guidance of Emerging International Insights Director, you will be a key member of the Regional Asia Marketing team; leading and applying the fundamentals of the Brown-Forman Way of Brand Building. As an Insights Manager, you will inspire others by understanding what matters to our brand’s consumers and to our B-F business. In this influential role, you will be expected to be a strategic ‘thought partner’ in the development, targeting, and monitoring of the success of brand growth and identification of business opportunities in Asia at a local or regional level. More

specifically, provide the internal client teams with insightful and actionable consumer understanding, strategy recommendations, research implementation, and data analysis.

What you will experience

Insights Development & Data Analysis

  • Identifies and prioritizes knowledge gaps across the region - consumer, brand, channel, category etc

  • Utilizes available data sources to identify relevant consumer/ channel trends and behaviors for agile business decisions and actions

Strategy Planning

  • Leads the S&I (strategic brand planning) process by supporting markets to conduct in-depth situational analysis, facilitating Ideation workshops and development of Country Plan templates

  • Collaborates closely with the leadership team on strategic white paper initiatives and insight-led approach to validate business cases

Research Guidance & Process Implementation

  • Manages the design, implementation, and monitoring of consumer research studies, coordinates activity with external market research companies and appropriate internal resources

  • Leads analysis and, often, presentation of research findings and provides recommendations for brand building strategy and activation

Capability Building

  • Coaches the Marketing team and leadership team on Insights best practice with responsibility of rollout across the region

  • Contributes to the development and implementation of the Brand Growth framework and building capabilities across the marketing teams and beyond

What you bring to the table

  • Strong experience in Consumer Planning, Digital Led Data Analysis & KPI Tracking

  • Suitable experience in Market Research & Client-side industry preferred

  • Excellent traditional qualitative & quantitative research analytical skills

  • Strategic mindset, business-oriented and results-focused

  • Excellent written & oral English language skills

  • Comfort in dealing with ambiguity and being resourceful in solving challenges

  • Confident presentation skills and ability to influence stakeholders of all seniority

  • Builds collaborative partnerships particularly across a matrix organization
