Brown-Forman Regional Brand Ambassador – Scotch Brands in Songshan Dist, Taiwan

Role Scope:

The Regional Brand Ambassador is responsible for providing central, global business development, brand building and planning support to Brown-Forman teams across Emerging & Developed Asia, helping to fuel business growth at a local level. The role will also support Global Travel Retail (GTR) teams across Asia, as Brown Forman opens up this major channel opportunity for its single malt whisky portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing whisky education and training to Brown-Forman teams and distributors, in a way which creates deep understanding and powerful advocacy for the new brands, galvanising and mobilising key business partners to grow these brand in targeted accounts.

  • Support local Brown-Forman and distributor teams with key customer/distributor sell-in, helping open up new markets and channels​, and using their single malt whisky expertise​ to drive listings and support.

  • Provide regional ambassadorial​ resource, supporting whisky fairs/tastings/events, which help build brand awareness, reputation and support business growth and communicate our credentials.

  • Identify and support opportunities to sell very old inventory to high net worth individuals and specialists

  • Support ongoing integration of the Scotch business, working with Brown-Forman market and Global teams

  • Plan, manage and sell-in the annual limited release programmes across the three malt brands, liaising closely with the Global brand team, local market teams, Production, Supply Chain and Customer Service.

  • Manage regional allocations for core and limited release expressions and NPD

  • Work with local teams, global team and Operations to prioritise single cask requests for Asia

  • Communicate new product plans to local markets, so they can plan sell-in and launches in a timely manner

  • Work closely with the Global brand team and local market teams on pricing of limited releases and portfolio development

  • Stay informed of competitive activity, business/market conditions, feeding in opportunities/issues/ideas to global and local teams, which help refine global strategy and identify new business growth opportunities

  • ​Regionally coordinate visits of the ​Global Brand Ambassador, Master Blender and Global Head of Advocacy to select Asian markets in conjunction with key events and market ambitions.

  • Support the Asia teams in annual and 3 year planning.

Necessary requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) plus 5-7 years of sales, business development, advocacy, marketing and/or brand ambassador experience (sensory evaluation experience a plus); or equivalent level of relevant experience

  • Single malt whisky expertise and portfolio management

  • Microsoft Office/Google Suite skills, including Excel and Powerpoint

  • P&L management

  • Proficiency in English

  • Ability to travel as needed for business, 40-60 %

Preferred requirements:

  • Proficiency in Mandarin

  • Experience working in Asian countries or Travel Retail

  • Experience working with specialist whisky channels

  • Advocacy experience with high net worth individuals
