Brown-Forman Supply Chain Specialist in Stein, Netherlands

Our small, multi-functional team at Stein manage external production for Brown-Forman products in Europe. Being part of this team requires a collaborative and flexible approach, building strong relationships within the Brown-Forman global team and our production partners.

The Supply Chain Specialist (SCS) has broad ranging responsibilities in all aspects of Supply Chain operations and is responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day supply chain business results are achieved. This role combines analysis and reporting along with hands-on application within each of the areas in Supply Chain to ensure excellence in the overall performance of the operations. The position provides backup and support to key positions within the Supply Chain team. The SCS will provide support in the areas of Shipping, Inventory, Production, Planning and Purchasing whenever needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Operations & Supply Chain Manager, Purchasing Manager, Finance Department and Customer Service team members in all aspects of day-to-day operations to ensure that the day-to-day supply chain business results are achieved.

  • Ensure all material requisition orders, regular sales orders, and transfer warehouse orders are fulfilled on a regular basis.

  • Assist, support, and provide backup coverage for all Supply Chain team members.

  • Understand and execute all Supply Chain activities such as stock take, physical inventory count, inventory accuracy in allocation and consumption, material demand, sales order entry, and purchase order entry if needed.

  • Assess and manage inventory levels to ensure continuity of supply

  • Liaise with Logistics Providers, Customer Service, buyers, and Production to provide delivery dates and shipping information

  • Coordinate and ensure orders / sales requests are covered and at the right place and time, right quantity and meeting the market requirements

  • Coordinating and managing short- and long-term production and capacity planning

  • Preparation of reports / dashboards for monitoring of KPIs

  • Ensure a manageable inventory process and optimum inventory level

  • Identifying bottlenecks in the Supply Chain and proposing improvements

  • Manage parameters (such as the correct safety stock or minimum order quantities)

  • Follow-up purchase contracts, pending orders with all parties involved: supplier, customer, logistical partners etc. and making sure these are coordinated correctly

  • Preparation of the necessary documentation, such as Customs, customers, production partners etc.

  • Maintain and updates SAP and make sure accuracy level is optimum.

Requirements :

  • Degree in business, with a focus on supply chain management, inventory control, manufacturing, or materials management or a Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum 4 years of supply chain and operations experience required

  • Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in inventory management

  • Familiarity with SAP and SAP APO (preferred).

  • Understanding of integrated supply chain and logistics concepts and theories.

  • Hands-on experience with logistics, inventory management, and procurement.

  • Purchasing experience is an asset.

  • A person who has a set of communicative skills, as well as the ability to be analytical with a sharp eye for detail.
