The Commercial and Operations Excellence Director – Australia, is first and foremost a leadership role that will be an integral part of the B-F ANZPI region leadership team. The key responsibility as a team member is to be a steward of the organization’s culture, driving a unified purpose across the organization by being an active and collaborative member of the ANZPI Leadership Team. Pivotal to this role is the ability to inspire, motivate, empower and develop our teams and beyond.
Secondary to this, you will be responsible for empowering our sales and marketing teams to provide customers with the best total experience in our industry. Partnering with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and HR Directors on a commercial excellence development and prioritisation roadmap. The Commercial Excellence and Operations Director should be an expert in foundational and innovative commercial excellence and operational practices and enables commercial leaders to improve capabilities on par with market benchmarks.
Additionally, the Commercial and Operations Excellence Director – Australia, will be key in guiding and partnering on Brown-Forman Australia’s short and long-term strategies and annual company execution plans, being accountable for providing industry, people, systems, and operational insights to influence the organization, culture, D&I, operations, and capability plans; as well as partnering with functional directors to optimise commercial decision making, planning, performance management, and commercial operations activities for the Sales, Marketing and supporting functions.
This is a role that requires a significant amount of influence locally and globally. The ability to navigate a matrix environment and champion the needs of B-F ANZPI from an organization perspective is essential. The role develops and enhances an open and transparent cross-functional culture and fosters an environment where individuals are comfortable engaging and presenting their concerns and ideas.

To thrive in this job, here’s what you should bring ...
University Degree in Business, Marketing or related area plus 10+ years FMCG branded products experience in Commercial, Sales, Marketing and/Strategy, National KAM positions
Proven ability to drive and lead change in complex global organisations
Strong Business and Financial Acumen and a good understanding of the Commercial Excellence levers that can be leveraged in a P&L
Demonstrated thought leadership; proven ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders across a broad range of organisational levels
Proven track record of improving commercial performance in previous roles
Excellent leadership skills and demonstrated people management experience
