Meaningful Work from Day One
Working at a National level, this position will focus on developing the Brown-Forman partnership with a prominent National Independent Retail Customer. Your role will align the customer and Brown-Forman strategies in a joint business plan and implement innovative and commercially sound initiatives that develop sales and brand success across the business partnership.
What you will experience
Customer Management and Joint Business Planning
Design, negotiate and implement a strategic sales/account plan that ensures a strong presence of brands within the customer group
Work closely with brand managers, shopper marketing and finance to lead and deliver compelling plans within the customer group
Maintain an effective pricing strategy that is within guidelines and is effectively driving our growth ambitions
Build partnerships between the Brown-Forman and customer’s marketing teams
Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to deliver best practice for the key e-commerce levers and oversee implementation where relevant
Assist in the monthly build of forecast tools and forward plan volumes to ensure
Track and analyze available consumer insights and data to showcase new commercial and marketing opportunities with the customer
Investment Planning and Analysis
Manage trade spending with the customer in line with budgets
Effectively negotiate investment within the customer including trading terms and promotional investment
Lead pre and post investment evaluation within the customer, sharing learnings and evaluate return on investment
Partner with the finance team to ensure all spend and claims are in line with business agreements and within our trade spend parameters
Customer and Brand Marketing
Partner with marketing and channel marketing teams to develop strategic and tactical brand activations (BTL)
Pre /post measurement plans working with category, brand and shopper using all available data sources
Evaluate brand activations within set timings and budgets to maximise return on investment
Leverage, influence and guide field teams to positively impact customer performance
Engage both State and National stakeholders to uncover region specific business opportunities.
Working with internal teams, to understand budgets and develop these into meaningful tools for the group
Circa 5 years national/key account experience in FMCG selling environment
Strong P&L management experience
Proficiency in data analysis and scan data interpretation
Experience in trade spend management and pre/post investment evaluation
Ability to generate incremental profit streams
Ability to build influence and develop robust stakeholder relationships
Exceptional communication skills
Tertiary qualification in a business related field
Liquor industry experience is highly regarded
