Brown-Forman Payroll Officer in Sydney, Australia
This position will be responsible for providing payroll and tax related services, along with support to our financial accounting function. You will also be involved in the continuous improvement of controls, procedures and systems.
Duties & Responsibilities
Liaise with third party provider to validate payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Drive process improvements, data accuracy across payroll function
Comply with relevant legislation and corporate guidelines
Respond to payroll and tax related queries from employees and HR team
Provide payroll analytics to management team
Maintain novated lease balance and product allowance register
In addition, you will also be required to assist our accounting function with completing Fringe Benefit Tax Return, maintaining Fixed Asset Register, processing banking in SAP and assisting with various other requests as required (eg, journal processing, reconciliations ).
We are seeking a detailed, motivated professional with the following skills;
Minimum of 2 years similar experience in a payroll and accounting position.
In depth knowledge of payroll and related tax compliance
Strong experience using SAP (or similar accounting software), and Excel.
Ability to work under tight deadlines with strong eye for detail and accuracy
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Workday and experience within FMCG industry is desirable
