Our Australian team of 150 people, work in regional and city locations throughout the country, with offices in Sydney (Head Office), Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
Your new role:
This new position will be responsible for leveraging multiple sources of data and advanced tools to develop directive analytics, including a strong visualisation of the data. Working with our global analytic team, you will partner with our various functions to identify strategic insights, developing strong analytics and seeking data driven gains in operational efficiencies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and support Business Intelligence reporting using advanced data visualization and analytics tools such as Tableau.
Develop Brown-Forman’s data visualisation techniques, designing diverse sets of structured and unstructured data.
Predictive Modeling & Machine Learning
Collaborate with the various analytical teams to discover new and creative ways to solve leading-edge problems with predictive analytics.
Develop statistical modeling techniques to collect, analyse and interpret data
Build causal and predictive models utilising statistical programming languages such as R and Python based on integrated data of various structures from numerous sources stored in a SQL environment.
Design algorithms for building new data and features to expand modeling capabilities.
Assess models; provide proof and explanation for acceptance tests.
Create Deployment code for queries and R/Python to run automatically on historic data and for systematic updates
Work in tandem with Business Intelligence to develop distributed computing capabilities to handle large-scale data storage and computation, and deployment of such a platform for analytical purposes.
Summarise insights from statistical models for use across the organisation for strategic decision-making.
Strategise in collaboration with functional teams to identify data-driven solutions to ongoing needs across the organization.
Assist in the delivery of multiple projects by employing project management techniques.
Expertise in analysing large, complex, multi-dimensional datasets with a variety of tools, and accomplished in the use of statistical analysis environments such as R, MATLAB, SPSS, Stata or SAS.
Experience with general programming environments such as Python, Java and C/C++ strongly preferred.
Experience with relational databases such as SQL and NoSQL, as well as Hadoop-based data mining frameworks.
Extensive experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, including proven record of driving adoption.
Solid experience of Hue / Talend / Cloudera platforms
Demonstrated ability to independently prepare sophisticated statistical analysis with accuracy and calibration within an established time frame.
Strong understanding of both structured and unstructured data and the ability to understand mathematical formulae to apply new concepts to existing problem sets.
Degree qualification in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field
Proactive self-starter confident, with high level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate strategy into action plans
Demonstrated interpersonal skills to develop robust working relationships with all levels
Strong experience in working to timeframes, completing multiple tasks and performing with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Austrian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required to be considered for this role
