Asia presents one of the largest opportunities for Brown-Forman globally and is expected to continue to be one of the most significant growth contributors to the company. With Japan and China as key markets, B-F Asia is composed of 19 countries with 100+ employees distributed across offices in 10 key mega-cities. From a portfolio perspective, Asia is largely led by our flagship Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, presenting a large opportunity for our Super Premium portfolio of American Whiskeys and Single Malt Scotches
Meaningful Work From Day One
Commercial Director; oversees the sales department operations and the delivery of the sales results, including distributor partner management (Asahi Breweries), Key Account, Field Sales (off and on-premise), Trade Marketing, and sales planning & support teams;
Provides leadership and is ultimately responsible for the talent pipeline within the sales organization;
Co-leads the B-F Japan management team contributing significantly to the future strategic direction of the company, ensuring a collaborative approach between finance, marketing and sales and also with outside B-F Japan colleagues and support services;
Networks with multiple external business partners including the key individual’s across key customers;
Collaborates with multiple internal stakeholders; including B-F Asia management, commercial, brand building, and financial teams;

Strategic Guidance: Provide leadership to staff and service agencies via strategic analysis, program development, and resource management.
Organizational Development: Build sales talent via development of high caliber individuals.
Business Analytics and Insights: Improve the quality of strategic operating planning via in-depth ongoing analysis of market trends and identification of the company’s strengths and weaknesses.
We Are Looking For People Who
The ideal candidate will be a graduate with the ability to communicate well and develop highly effective working relationships with a broad range of individuals. He/she must be of an extremely high caliber and must demonstrate all necessary skills and qualities to rise to the top of this major multinational group;
MBA and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Business 10 to 15 years multi-channel experience in FMCG, within “top 4” accounts is a must. With cross-functional experience, for example in sales, category management and marketing preferred;
The incumbent will demonstrate the ability to run the business at a Manager Director level overseeing all functions including finance, HR, sales and marketing;
They will have experience managing a team of exceptional account managers and field staff;
The person appointed must possess the ability to succeed to either Country Manager and/or significant Asia/global roles;
Excellent command of written and verbal English, other languages will be valued;
Turnaround/change management experience will be valued;
