Brown-Forman RGM Senior Analyst in Tokyo, Japan
Job Responsibilities:
RGM Strategy (40%)
Responsible for helping the Finance Manager drive forward the RGM strategy in the Japan & embed RGM best practice across the organization
Support the sales/marketing team to drive forward the RGM strategy
Propose processes to conduct analysis on key products, by channels and by customer pricing including competitors
Deliver timely reviews of promotional performance for all the key brands with quarterly reviews on all brands
Provide recommendations for pricing and/or promotional strategy from the analysis partnering with sales/marketing team
Work alongside with global RGM team to gain and/or share insights and best practice, assisting where possible
Assist in determining pricing and promotional plans for new product development and monitoring post launch
Pricing Projects (40%)
Assist Sales and Marketing team with specific pricing projects as required
Perform elasticity studies on selected key brands
Support Finance manager in pulling together 3 year pricing strategies across key brands
Assist Finance Manager/Analyst with tasks as needed (20%)
Month End reporting/analysis
Forecast submissions
SOX controls covering all aspects of Net sales
Ad-hoc projects
MUST REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors’ degree in finance, accounting or business administration required.
5+ years experience in similar positions
Strong analytical skills
Proven understanding of the commercial environment & able to demonstrate clear understanding & inter dependency of commercial, brand & trade strategy
Sound commercial knowledge of trade environment including, not limited to, the promotional analysis
Ability to form strategic relationships/partnerships across the organization
Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and to make recommendations independently based on logical assumptions and factual information
Experience with computer applications in accounting, budgeting and financial analysis. In particular, advanced Excel proficiency (must be proficient at advanced formulas, pivot tables, Vlookups)
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects to completion by agreed deadlines
PREFERED REQUIREMENTS
Experience in alcohol beverage or branded consumer products, multinational organization preferred
Experience with Intage data
Experience of Revenue Growth Management
SKILLS
Fluency in Japanese and strong business English required
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong ability to analyze/interpret data & generate/clearly communicate insights
