Brown-Forman Senior FP&A Analyst in Tokyo, Japan
A key responsibility of this role is to provide financial analysis and reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. This position is also responsible for leading and consolidating P&L for each line item during quarterly and annual forecasts with detailed analysis and identifying key insights to the organization. It requires a curious mindset for the operational analysis and effective communication skills to work across multiple functions. This role will also be a key contributor in the achievement of profit growth targets focusing in the areas of volume, pricing, profitability, cost management and investment effectiveness among others.
Meaningful work from day 1
This role provides financial analysis and reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. It is also responsible for leading and consolidating P&L for quarterly and annual forecasts with detailed analysis and identifying key insights to the organization. It requires a curious mindset for the operational analysis and effective communication skills to work across multiple functions. This role will also be a key contributor in the achievement of profit growth targets focusing in the areas of volume, pricing, profitability, cost management and investment effectiveness among others.
What you can expect
Perform monthly variance analysis (vs PY and Plan) of the each P&L line items, identifying key drivers with clear and concise communication, highlighting potential risks and opportunities. Prepare monthly business reviews’ presentations providing insightful analysis to key stakeholders inside Japan, as well as for the regional reporting.
Coordinate with internal teams for report automation, reporting and analytics.
Maintain knowledge of external industry trends, utilizing data sources such IWSR for competitive reviews.
Be a subject matter expert for financial reporting systems (BW, Newton, Tableau) to maintain the financial accuracy, seek for the process improvement and train users
Be accountable for all price/cost information - to ensure latest assumptions are captured in the forecast and maintained in the database.
Support development of long-term strategic plan and multi-year investment case proposal and preparation of presentations, analyses and documents relating to forecasts and long-term planning.
Engage in projects based or ad-hoc analysis to better understand the business and make informed decisions.
Communicate analytical results with cross functional partners.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
What you will bring to the table
College/University (Bachelors or Equivalent); Finance, Accounting or Business Administration : 8+ years experience in similar positions
Fluency in Japanese and English required
Experience in alcohol beverage or branded consumer products, multinational organization preferred
Experience with SAP and BW
