Brown-Forman 2nd Shift Logistics Utility Operator in Versailles, Kentucky
Support second shift logistics operations, serving as primary forklift operator and managing inbound and outbound shipments, order preparations, finished goods inventory storage, related paperwork and other responsibilities as needed.
Productivity: Perform tasks associated with entering and removing barrels from warehouses. Collect samples of barreled whiskey, perform processing operations. Performs general sanitation duties and other tasks as assigned and job conditions require. Supports processing and warehousing activities along with bottling to ensure required volumes and types of whiskies are ready per the bottling schedule.
Quality: Be a Champion of quality in all areas of the operation, following all SOPs and attending to area sanitation. Requires partnership with Quality Control.
Safety: Be a Champion of safety, following all safety procedures and holding teammates accountable for doing the same. Provide feedback to improve safety culture, partnering with safety committee as appropriate.
Accurately and efficiently prepare and pick finished goods for all outbound shipments, including any specialty packaging requirements.
Efficiently manage dock doors to ensure proper loading and unloading of inbound and outbound trucks.
Serve as primary forklift operator and maintain forklift certification. Conduct battery checks as required and as necessary. Responsible for daily log completion, replenishment and file retention; and battery charging.
Ensure high level of cleanliness and organization in warehouse assisting with inspections, audits and corrective actions.
Serve as the central receiving contact ensuring timely receipt, notification and disbursement of inbound packages and freight.
Perform receipt entry including all incoming and outgoing raw material receipts and external warehouse finished goods inventory receipts using SAP. Distribute and file paperwork within specific time limits set by department. Work with senior buyer for material discrepancies and assist with reconciliation.
Assist with raw material counts, including but not limited to monthly glass inventory and on-going cork and pallet counts. Assist with reconciliation as needed.
Assist with MBSO raw materials order fulfillment and shipment.
Serve as a back-up for bottling line/re-work/barrel rolling.
Collaborate with shipping team members on SAP Order Dropping and Post Goods Issue needs.
Assist with finished goods inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
Package all finished goods sample shipments.
Serve as a liaison between warehouse and bottling to share best practices and established procedures.
Perform other duties as required.

High School Diploma
Ability to lift 50 pounds, reach forward 20” and lift up to 58”
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel, internal and external.

Ability to manage independently and complete assigned workload within established deadlines in a high-volume consumer goods industry.
Demonstrated experience developing and utilizing computer information systems, including SAP, Google, Microsoft Word, Excel.
Ability to analyze data and perform basic mathematical functions.
Ability to manage details accurately.
Ability to work overtime and/or alternate shift to meet departmental demands as necessary.
Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently and maintain a safe work environment.
