Brown-Forman Processing Operator in Versailles, Kentucky

Support 2nd shift processing operations, including entering and removing barrels from warehouses, dumping barrels and processing liquid. Will operate a forklift or truck; will cut whiskey tanks and record information in accordance with operating procedures. Inventory management responsibilities including but not limited to accurately logging inventory movements, executing cycle counts and entering batch dumps into SAP. May fill and store barrels per guidelines and select/transport aged barrels. Maintain high degree of flexibility to support overtime work, vacation and off-shift coverage, as determined by the business needs of our multi-shift operation.

Responsibilities

  • Productivity: Perform tasks associated with entering and removing barrels from warehouses. Collect samples of barreled whiskey, perform processing operations. Performs general sanitation duties and other tasks as assigned and job conditions require. Supports processing and warehousing activities along with bottling to ensure required volumes and types of whiskies are ready per the bottling schedule.

  • Quality: Be a Champion of quality in all areas of the operation, following all SOPs and attending to area sanitation. Requires partnership with Quality Control.

  • Safety: Be a Champion of safety, following all safety procedures and holding teammates accountable for doing the same. Provide feedback to improve safety culture, partnering with safety committee as appropriate.

Must Requirements

  • Ability to work overtime and flex between shifts and sites as needed

  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations (add, multiply, subtract, etc.)

  • Ability to do frequent walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching upward/downward, crouching, and ascending/descending stairs/ramps/ ladders.

  • Ability to push and pull over 100 lbs.

  • Ability to enter tight and restricted areas.

  • Ability to work under varied environmental conditions, including cold and heat.

  • Must wear steel toed safety shoes and all other required PPE - no exceptions

  • Strong attendance

  • No active documented performance or policy violations

  • All training and paperwork must be up-to-date

  • Computer skills – Word, Excel, etc.

Preferred Experience

  • SAP proficiency

  • Laboratory Testing

  • Associates degree; however, work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
