Brown-Forman Retail Coordinator - Woodford Reserve in Versailles, Kentucky

The Woodford Reserve Retail Coordinator plays a key role in building the brand through the

Woodford Reserve retail experience. Under the direction of the Retail Supervisor and working closely with the retail team in the Woodford Reserve Gift Shop, this position involves direct interaction with guests, retail staff, the guest services team and bar staff, as well as homeplace leadership and facilities personnel.

Primarily responsible for front of house activities included but not limited to; engaging guests through sharing our brand story and educating on our portfolio, ensuring shelves are stocked and backroom storage remains organized, creating gift cards, performing returns and refunds, ensuring guest IDs are being scanned properly, and resolving any POS system challenges.

What You Can Expect

  • Operating under a hospitality-first mindset, create a warm, welcoming and inclusive experience for all guests visiting the gift shop.

  • Serves as the first point of contact for guest/customer related challenges.

  • Understanding and implementing the processes and procedures of how to engage guests, operate the registers, restock the floor, accurately describe products and merchandise, and create/redeem gift cards.

  • Responsible for gift shop gift cards for groups/individuals visiting the distillery.

  • Perform the opening and closing procedures of the gift shop.

  • Fully understand and operate retail POS systems and demonstrate that knowledge in order to help train others when necessary.

  • Troubleshoot technology issues as necessary.

  • Balance cash drawers

  • Make weekly deposits, make change when needed, count and handle cash responsibly and accurately.

  • Enter retail work orders into the reporting system.

  • Operate bottle engraving equipment

  • Answer the gift shop phone and relay messages promptly and accurately

  • Assist in restocking retail and rotating merchandise as well as assisting with floor re-sets

  • Ensure all pricing, signage, and barcodes on the floor are accurate

  • Enter and post daily sales.

  • Ensure all state laws regarding alcohol sales are being followed at all times by the team.

  • Monitor levels of supplies and report to Retail Management

  • Communicate inventory needs and questions to Inventory Control & Shipping Coordinator

  • Maintains the presentation of the gift shop, keeping it fully stocked and clean.

  • Readily explain shipping programs to guests

  • Assists in inventory management and cycle counting

  • Resolves customer issues and questions.

  • Assist in shipping and receiving

  • Any other duties assigned

What You Bring to the Table

  • Experience: minimum 2 years of retail experience

  • Strong customer service experience

  • Must be able to successfully coach and motivate a team.

  • Must have basic computer knowledge and ability to learn and operate computerized equipment and systems

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Must be physically capable of standing for long periods of time

  • Must be able to lift and carry from the ground to waist height up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to work any shift/and or overtime as required.

  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as required.

  • Must be able to work occasional evening events.

  • Physical activity on a regular basis is required.

The Hourly rate is $20 per hour.
