Brown-Forman Visitor Center Supervisor - Woodford Reserve in Versailles, Kentucky

Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Visitors Center Supervisor under the direction of Asst. Manager Visitor Experience and Retail Manager supervises the guest services and retail teams and operations to ensure all guests are being presented with a premium experience at all times. Will be responsible for communicating direction from management team to staff and making sure standard operating procedures are being followed. The main focus of this position is to provide continuous training for employees and provide supervision of Visitor Center activities on weekends and holidays.


  • Facilitate training for all employees

  • Create, update and communicate Standard Operating Procedures in Guest Services and Retail

  • Audit performance of staff to ensure all SOPs are being followed

  • Responsible for exceptional customer service and values including being the point of contact for guest concerns or questions

  • Working under the direction of Assistant Manager Visitor Experience and Retail Manager, coach for staff success by communicating event goals, business focus and desired outcomes that achieve excellence in visitor experiences

  • Supervise the daily operation of the Visitors Center, facilitating the seamless flow of tours, hosting and entertaining of visitors and retail environment

  • Report any building, grounds or equipment needs or concerns to appropriate personnel

  • Address and resolve any urgent issues with employees

  • Follow-up with both managers regarding any personnel or operational concerns

  • Attend weekly meetings with direct managers

Must Requirements:

  • Working on-site the majority of weekends and holidays

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Proven success in a customer-service oriented and/or hospitality field with a preference of training experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent Oral and written skills

  • Provide leadership and excellent customer service by example

  • Ability to operate retail and ticketing software and troubleshoot minor technology issues

  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities with different deadlines with limited supervision

  • Ability to make decisions in ambiguous environments or with limited information

Preferred Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in related field and minimum three years in hospitality, retail or spirits/wine industry; or appropriate combination of education and experience.
