Brown-Forman Warehouse Supervisor in Versailles, Kentucky
Coordinate and supervise the activities of the Warehousing Department, consisting of the entry of over 80,000 barrels annually, in the most cost-efficient manner within the operating guidelines as defined by governmental agencies and company policy. Maintain a barrel inventory in excess of 350,000 stored in approximately seven maturation warehouses across three tracts of land. Support the development and optimal performance of the warehousing team. Coordinate the receipt of new barrels from Brown-Forman Distillery and Woodford Reserve Distillery. Manage the process to store and enter the barrels into SAP. Ensure a safe workplace by taking a proactive approach to improving and maintaining safe work conditions and practices.
Responsible for coordinating and monitoring Warehousing activities. Perform duties to ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations and all corporate and company policies. Work with Production Manager-Warehouse and Processing to develop production schedules and ensure all personnel, materials and transportation needs are met. Work with controller and accountant to help maintain quality audits on all barrels in storage and provide related reports as required. Coordinate the activities of contractors and maintenance personnel in conjunction with production requirements to maintain warehouses and equipment.
Maintain a safe work environment and promote accident prevention by eliminating potential hazards and serving as a site first responder
Understand and adhere to federal, state and local regulations
Actively own relevant aspects of site EHS compliance metrics
Manage and drive key leader metrics, including conducting Take a Minute for safety, performing area assessments and resolving all corrective actions in a timely manner

Manage maturation process and tracking Versailles warehouses and collaborate with Warehouse Manager in Louisville and Research & Development
Collaborate with Brown-Forman Distillery Warehouse Manager to ensure the adequate delivery and return of all WRD trailers
Ensure team members are driving toward a highly safe & clean work environment as key priorities for the site, and engage as a working lead for the site
Review, edit as necessary and submit time in Workday for the warehouse operators
Communicate the daily work schedule and expectations for the departments, coordinating with the work team to determine necessary staffing and support needs
Update, create and implement standard operating procedures in the warehouse operations to accurately and effectively run operations.
Develop, implement and evaluate job specific skills training for each individual employee, coordinate efforts with natural work teams
Partner with the HR and finance teams to project required staffing needs, including internal and external requirements, coordination of supplemental staffing services, and related payroll-reporting requirements
Support the Maintenance and Engineering Manager by utilizing work order processes, Preventive Maintenance program, and equipment downtime tracking
Support team in operational problem resolutions, continuous improvement and standardizing production processes
Engage in TPM training and integration into Woodford Reserve organization and support ongoing efforts to improve OEE. Explore innovation in terms of technology, people, processes and systems
Utilize resources, internal and external, effectively
Develop as a continuous improvement leader within the organization. Integrate into the Continuous Improvement teams that will drive efficiency gains and cost savings.
Develop and manage department operating and capital budgets, monitoring performance against the budget and adjusting to meet expectations. Manage raw materials inventory to minimize costs and seek cost reduction opportunities and monitor the use of the P-CARD for limited supplies
Leverage resources effectively to meet plant KPIs per budget standards
Actively participate in determining opportunities and evaluating cost savings projects. Develop and implement cost savings projects
Ensure compliance with all relative TTB, DOT, and state regulations; all corporate and company safety, quality, and sanitation guidelines in an exemplary manner associated with warehousing activities
Work with controller to help maintain quality audits on all barrels in storage and provides related reports as required
Be an active member of the warehouse audit team to ensure that all barrels accurately accounted for across our three warehouse site
Required Experience & Education:
Education: Other; Associate's Degree
Associate’s degree with a minimum 1-2 years manufacturing leadership experience, or, in lieu of degree, at least 2 years manufacturing leadership experience
Demonstrated technical acumen and experience with Google platform (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
Strong communication skills
Demonstrated analytical/mathematical skills
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with all levels of personnel/external contacts
Demonstrated ability to manage and complete workload within designated time frame.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude to assess performance of equipment utilized in production operations
Ability to work flexible work schedule and overtime as needed

Education: College/University (Bachelors or Equivalent);
