Brown-Forman Senior Demand Planning Analyst in Louisville, Kentucky

Senior Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for maintaining item forecasts through statistical modeling, as well as enhancing the demand plan with market, promotion and distribution intelligence gathered from cross functional partners in Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain. The Senior Demand Planning Analyst will facilitate and actively participate in the monthly IBP consensus forecasting, and Step 2 meetings, gather, and document assumptions, signal demand for production planning, communicate key changes and plan drivers across the org., and assist in executing the demand plan. This analyst is equally comfortable in systems and data, forecast modeling, and steering and influencing the consensus building process.

What You Can Expect

  • Facilitates and actively participates within the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) demand consensus meetings, incorporating input from Sales and Marketing. Highlight plan changes, document assumptions and risks/opportunities to plan.

  • Prepares and presents Demand Planning key performance indicators during IBP Consensus meetings with commercial regional, Brand and Senior Leadership.

  • Participates in cross functional IBP alignment meetings with key business partners and effectively communicates information to help influence the consensus forecast by telling a story with data, trends, and analysis.

  • Maintains brand - bottle size projections within the forecasting system, ensures quality of the data loaded in SAP - APO.

  • Analyze business processes and work with IT partners developing new tools using existing data visualization technology (Tableau) to enhance forecasting discussions.

  • Will measure the forecast reasonableness, monitor the demand history, and analyze forecast accuracy. Communicate with supply managers to translate forecasts into supply network plans for Brown-Forman Beverages Worldwide brands.

  • Interpret business drivers that affect forecast / supply chain performance and communicate the impact / risks across the organization.

  • Generates ad hoc reports and databases as required by relevant stakeholders in the commercial and supply chain areas.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 3+ years Demand Planning or related business or supply chain experience; or minimum 7+ years of combined education and experience.

  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with a broad range of business associates.

  • Experience with influencing a diverse group of professionals, with different priorities to a consensus. Quantitative and Analytical Skills with the ability to apply common sense.

  • Demonstrated success utilizing Sales and Operations Planning/Integrated Business Planning (S&OP/IBP).

  • Experience with demand planning, data visualization and spreadsheet software (i.e. ERP and advanced Excel).

  • Familiarity with the inventory planning concepts and supply chain process improvement. Experience with forecasting algorithms.

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.

  • Passion to drive continuous improvement.

  • Ability to develop and adapt to new processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with heavy or uneven workloads, shifting priorities, and deadlines.

  • Ability and willingness to travel 5% of the time
