Brown-Forman Marketing Manager Jack Daniel's - Japan in Tokyo, Japan

The role is, first and foremost, a marketing leadership role integral to the B-F Japan Marketing function. This role is responsible for leading Jack Daniel’s Family of Brands team and business in Japan, managing the profitable growth of the most important and valuable brand within BF’s portfolio.
This role requires a significant amount of influence and an ability to lead, inspire and empower the Japan Jack Daniel’s Family of Brands team, consisting of direct and indirect reports in a transformationally changing environment of “Own Distribution”. You will be a brand marketer with a proven track record of successfully leading a portfolio of brands and delivering targets in a competitive environment. It requires managing the short and long-term value and brand equity of a growing portfolio encompassing multiple brands within the Family of Brands.

Build relationships across the organization and collaborating effectively with regional and global teams.
Provide strong & visible leadership and direction to direct reports and engage the team in the company's vision.
Delivering Brand Growth - Develop a 3-year strategic growth plan for the portfolio.
Lead the Jack Daniel’s team to deliver annual volume and value targets across the portfolio via the development and implementation of annual brand strategies & plans based on insights by partnering with the Insights team.
Define and deliver the global consumer vision and brand proposition for each brand in the portfolio.
Recruit next generation of Jack Daniel consumer/shoppers by bringing the brands’ propositions to life by developing communication strategies and activation plans with Brand and Trade Marketing teams.
Work with agency partners, Global, Regional and Local Teams to develop distinctive creative assets which meet the Japanese market needs to deliver best-in-class communication plans which increase brand awareness and create meaningful consumer connections.
Provide strategic guidelines linked with Revenue Growth Management for optimizing the portfolio strategy, investment, pricing & promotions, channel & SKU mix strategy and other drivers of the P&L.
Manage Brand budget across the portfolio, ensuring resources are allocated against key brand and business growth drivers with Brand, Trade Marketing and Sales to ensure that the investment is spent on activations with the highest return on investment.
What you will bring to the table
Qualified in marketing and minimum 10 years of relevant experience
Proven track record of successfully delivering brand growth in a highly competitive environment
Proven leadership, strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
Strong interpersonal skills; able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with alllevels of internal and external contacts and with diverse cultures
Strong commercial acumen
Previous line manager experience
Able and willing to travel internationally and attend evening and weekend events when needed
Fluent in Japanese & English, both spoken and written

Prior Experience in wine and spirits or FMCG industries
Excellent analytical skills, commercial savvy and solution-focused to solving problems
Excellent presentation skills and translation of financial information in a clear, concise and visually appealing way
Strong Brand Communication skills, Specifically Digital Marketing
Self-starter with proven ability to identify issues and projects, plan and prioritize with demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple projects to completion by specific deadlines
