Whiskey is a long-term growing category within the spirits industry in Poland. The major BF brand Jack Daniel’s (JD) is developing even faster than this category. Brown-Forman Poland plans to take advantage of these trends and further expand whiskey: maintain JD leadership in the value growth of the category. We are also committed to step change our performance outside of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey – above all developing JD Tennessee Honey & JD Tennessee Apple but also developing super-premium inside JD Family of Brands (Gentleman Jack).

Meaningful Work from Day One

The main responsibility of JBM JD Flavors is to drive the whole of these brands' agenda in Poland. It will also provide assistance to the respective Senior Brand Manager (SBM) to help build and implement brand strategies and provide all appropriate marketing resources (strategies, tools needed for strategies execution and resources in terms of cooperating with partners and agencies) and provide operational and tactical help to the SBM. JBM will cooperate with numerous stakeholders, including Marketing, Sales, Finance, and numerous agencies, on a local, regional and global level.

What You Can Expect

Value creation

  • Contribute to preparation of yearly brand plans and long-term strategy by providing SBM with tools, knowledge or analysis necessary to make strategic decisions and provide input from the area of responsibility.

  • Cooperate with SBM/MM on executing short term, tactical plans and activities from the brand plan, including preparation of all tools that are necessary to implement these activities.

  • Assist in development and constant updating of consumer insights, assist in preparation of all consumer research.

  • Analyze the market situation, conditions and trend, presenting results of the analysis to SBM/MM.

  • Ensure Responsibility Messaging on all JD FOB products, communication materials and during key brand communication platforms.

Strategic Relationships & Partnerships

  • Coordination of relevant business actions with other functions of the organization and regional/global marketing.

  • Cooperation with local creative and media agencies in partnership with IMC (Integrated Marketing Communications).

  • Lead selection, management and performance management of advertising, promotions, and public relations agencies with the support of SBM/MM.

Drive for results

  • Based on strategic objectives from the brand plan, develop, execute & measure (responsible) activation & communication plans for specific areas e.g. Digital, PR & On-Trade. Keeps the track of the marketing spending for the led activities.

  • Report the status and results (KPI tracking) of the short term, tactical plans and executions to the SBM/MM.

  • Systematically consolidate monthly JD Flavors A&P spend and prepare monthly budget reports. Ensure proper attribution of costs in budget.

  • Manage documents flow related to trade activities: contracts with the supplier, purchase orders, market reports, invoices and backups (for invoices).

  • Evaluate main activations and actively look for optimization and new opportunities in the market.

  • Perform regular market visits (on-and off-trade) to gain knowledge and observations about the market and consumers.

  • Support, contribute or lead additional assigned projects and tasks as stretch assignments towards further personal development.

  • Identify new market opportunities and adjust the investments to strategic channels and the one with potential to grow.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Passionate about marketing, with relevant experience

  • Energetic with a positive can-do attitude

  • Interested in digital marketing

  • Fluent Polish and English speaking and writing

  • Strategic thinking and very good analytical skills

  • Strong communication skills (influencing, listening, presentations, written)

  • IT literate - MS Office applications & Google applications.

  • Time management, organizational skills, proven ability to work effectively and efficiently under time pressure.

What Makes You Unique

  • Previously worked in a company with above and below the line experience (including social and digital) or marketing/media agency

  • You are familiar with the brand's P&L

  • Interested in premium brands

  • Knowledge of Polish On-Trade channel and experience in organizing events would be a plus
